El Capistrano Village is a picturesque community of white-washed villas on the outskirts of Nerja. With 2 outdoor swimming pools, 2 splash pools for children, and tennis courts nearby, it is one of the best equipped communities in the area; its landscaped gardens of subtropical flowers and lush vegetation make it one of the most attractive. There is also a restaurant, bar and supermarket on the premises.

San Juan de Capistrano is a similar community just above El Capistrano Village. Set against the mountains, it has breathtaking views of the Mediterranean and Nerja. It is equipped with an outdoor swimming pool and a splash pool for children. There are several restaurants and bars, and a small supermarket.

Both communities are served by a local bus that runs every 30 minutes to the centre of town and the beach.

Originally a fishing village, Nerja is a charming Spanish town perched on the Mediterranean against the spectacular backdrop of the mountains, 32 miles from Malaga airport.
